Welcome, Diana. First, tell us a
little about yourself.
Well, I’m an International Lawyer by profession and a writer
by heart:) I was born in Minsk, Belarus where I currently live and work on my
stories. I’m a full-time writer and I don’t regret switching from law to
romances:) I write both contemporary and paranormal romances, and I have 11
published books, including one short story and a book of poems. I never stop
writing, and I love all of my stories:) I’m a wife and a coffee-addicted mom
who has way too many things to do in one day and more than often, 24 hours feel
like not enough:) Though I’m sure that even if I had more time, I would still
feel like running out of time:)
As writers, we often
become emotionally attached to our characters. Who is your favorite hero you’ve
ever written?
I think it’s Kassie from Love Undone. The whole story was
very emotional and heartbreaking, it was like I lived through every line of
that book. I enjoyed working on it a lot. Kassie’s story in Love Undone starts
with an accident that takes all of her memories away. All of a sudden, she
finds herself in a world where she doesn’t know even what her name is. Then
there’s Daniel, an old friend who’s always there to help her. He says that they
are just friends, but some time later, Kassie realizes that she feels something
for Daniel, her memories come back one by one, but it only makes everything
even more complicated. Every step she takes is not what it seems. Every memory
is like a key to the doors that were closed years ago. Kassie suffers a lot,
and sometimes it feels like there will be no end to the nightmare that she lives
in. Will she and Daniel end up together? Read the story and find out:)
Have you ever fallen
in love with or had a crush on one of your heroes? Tell us about him.
Oh… What an interesting question:) I think I fall in love
with my every new character that I write about:) Male characters in my books
are not perfect, I’m sure that there are perfect people in this world, and I
hate boring personalities. That’s why my characters are always charming,
charismatic, sometimes sarcastic and strong-willed. So yes, it’s impossible not
to fall for them:) But there’s one that I think will be my love for the rest of
my life, lol It’s Evan Murray from Love Lines. People love and hate him. He
always says what he thinks, and he’s too good-looking to not notice his
attractiveness. On the other hand, he’s a great friend, always ready to
sacrifice his life to safe someone else’s. His own life has never been perfect,
and he knows how important it is to have a reason to smile. If you have a
problem, you can always call Evan and he will solve it in no time. He’s like a
perfect imperfection, an impossible rule-breaker and a combination of everything
that a girl can fall in love with at first sight.
How do you develop
your heroes? Do you imagine their personality or their physical appearance
first? Do they grow as personalities as you write or do you do a character
sketch before you type the first word?
I don’t know why but it’s always easy to imagine my
characters, their appearances and personalities. I never think too much about
what they will say or do, it just happens:) It’s easy to write dialogs or
predict their reactions and acts in different situations. I just need to know
which one will be good and which one will be bad:)
How do you name your
hero?
I choose names that I like myself. Sometimes I need names
that have some hidden meaning, like it was in Love Lies, my fantasy series. But
mostly, I just sit and go through the lists of different names, choosing those
that I think will match the story.
Who is your favorite
hero in books, movies, or television?
As for the books, I’m totally in love with Kaidan Rowe from
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins. He’s a typical bad boy, and I like guys like him:)
My favorite movie character is Bruce Wayne, a famous Batman. I like his
personality, he’s strong and resolute, and it’s a very rare combination that
always makes me admire people like him in real life. Besides, the movie makes
you think about a lot, and I like it too, ‘cause I hate ‘empty’ stories.
Who is your hero in
real life?
There are many people in my life whom I never stop admiring,
I won’t name them, I will only say that I’m really happy to have them near,
weather alive or just as my guardian angels:)
Tell us about your
most recent release and where we can find it. Who is the hero and what do you
like about him/her the most?
My new book, named In Your Eyes, is coming December 16th.
It’s a story of a young girl, Emily Farrell, whose life changes tremendously
the night her fiancĂ© dies in a car crash. She doesn’t know how to live without
him. She can’t imagine her life without Adrian. But life goes on, and she needs
to learn how to start breathing and living again. She needs to find a way to
step over her pain and sorrow. It’s hard for her to let herself feel again. She
shuts down everything that will reveal her true feelings and emotions. She’s
sure that she will never fall in love again. Until one day, she meets Nic – a
guy who doesn’t know anything about her or her past. He simply wants to be
closer to her, but Emily is a tough nut to break. She doesn’t let men in her life. And she hates every guy who
wants to ask her out. Will Nic manage to get a least one kiss from her? Well,
let’s hope he will:) I like this new story a lot. It’s an emotional
roller-coaster, a story that will show you how important it is to love and
cherish those you have in your life, because no one knows how soon you can lose
them forever. I hope you will enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed
working on it:)

BOOK BLURB for IN
YOUR EYES:
My life has never been perfect. I lost, I lied, I cried. But
there was one thing that I thought would stay with me forever — my love…
Adrian was my everything. The day he died, I died with him.
It was like being caught up in a nightmare, with no reason to keep breathing,
with nothing to hold on to.
But one day, everything changed. I didn’t know I was lost until the moment Nic found me. He
made me laugh, he made me feel, he made me believe that I could love again. I
thought I would never feel alive, but then I looked into his eyes and I was
lost. Only this time, it was not a nightmare swallowing me, but a beautiful
dream coming true.
Just when I thought there was no hope for tomorrow, my heart
found a reason to beat faster…
